Veterinary Technician

Creve Coeur Animal Hospital

About the Role

About CCAH:

Creve Coeur Animal Hospital is looking for someone to provide overnight nursing care to help us provide the very best care for our patients. We are a busy five-doctor practice in West County Saint Louis that treats dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, and reptiles. We are an AAHA-accredited practice, so we have a very high standard for our patients and employees. Because of this, we are the best in St. Louis! Team harmony and core values matter as much to us as helping pets.

About You:

We are looking for someone with at least one year of veterinary technician experience. Certification is valued and would result in better compensation.

We need someone who can work effectively with people (not just pets). Someone with confidence and charisma who can help clients through all types of situations. A self-starter who is comfortable completing tasks without direct supervision. You can place IV catheters, draw blood, give injections, provide animal care with safe and humane handling, perform laboratory tests, take x-rays, and follow treatment plans prescribed to our hospital patients. Surgical experience is a plus. You must be able to stand for long periods of time. You will be on time (or early) and can help cover shifts when a team member is sick or on vacation. Hard work will be important, but so will breaks, lunches, and days off.

About The Role:

We need a full-time overnight veterinary technician to work three 12-hour shifts on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m., as well as every other Saturday and some holidays.

You’ll assist in appointments, care for hospital and boarding patients, clean and prepare surgical packs, stock exam rooms, and perform other miscellaneous maintenance tasks throughout the night when not caring for patients and pets.

We value dedication to patient care, a healthy work-life balance, and showing up as your awesome self! We have a commitment to professional growth and a positive work environment in our clinic, and we offer fantastic benefits to help you keep up with the strangeness of the ever-changing world, including:
