For those of you who are “four clinic clients” and have been with us from the early days, it might surprise you to learn (because it is shocking to us!) that our daughter Katie is 23 years old and graduated from Mizzou in May with Bachelor’s Degrees in Journalism and Geography. After graduation, she accepted a job as a reporter in Juneau, Alaska. Chris and Katie will be traveling in her Corolla on a 5 day, 60 hour trek across Canada to Alaska in July.
Will, 20 years, was 6 months old when we started the clinic and will be entering his junior year at Mizzou majoring in biology! He has an interest in genomics and genetic engineering and recently received scholarships in biology and in Arts and Sciences. This summer you may see him helping take care of your pet at CCAH during their boarding or inpatient stay.
Tim, 14 years and an only child at home, graduated from the 8th grade in the spring and will be attending SLUH in the fall. He is active in Boy Scouts and lacrosse. He also is a Civil War buff. He has recently visited the Lincoln Presidential Museum and Library in Springfield, IL and also hiked in the Chickamauga Battlefield National Military Park in northern Georgia.
In the early summer, after several bouts of immune disease in the past few years, we lost one of our dogs, Camden, after a very brief illness. She will be missed greatly by all of our family members including Mallory and Kenny, our remaining lab and terrier-mix. There will be a period of transition as they adapt to the Camden’s loss.
All of our family, including Mallory and Kenny wish you and your families a great summer and remainder of 2013!
