We have more than 20 years of experience treating pet rabbits, understanding fully this species’ special needs and requirements. We provide veterinary care that is both “state-of-the-art” and “state-of-the-heart” with an emphasis on caring for both the patient and the family.
Rabbit Medicine and Surgery
We own or access the most advanced medical diagnostic and treatment equipment and techniques available in veterinary medicine today. We routinely perform treatments for gastrointestinal stasis and obstructions, surgical abscess removals, and bladder stone surgery. We also provide treatment for chronic infections, and perform routine surgeries such as spays and neuters.
We perform diamond bur and diamond disc crown reductions and smoothing procedures, as well as dental extractions when indicated. Dentals are performed using specialized dental instruments designed specifically for rabbits and small rodents.
Rabbit Nutritional Products
These include hays, pelleted diets, and critical care diets.
Our in-house laboratory includes an Abaxis serum chemistry machine that allows us to analyze blood samples quickly. For critically ill patients, we can obtain blood results in under 20 minutes and, for some patients, every minute counts. Other in-house lab equipment include: Olympus binocular microscope, refractometer, centrifuge, and Stat-Spin centrifuge, Alphatrac glucometer, Idexx Snap ELISA tests.
Our full service in-house veterinary pharmacy is well stocked with a wide range of competitively priced quality medications and pet care products.
Cardell Multiparameter Monitor and Pulse Oximeters
These high-tech devices allow for monitoring multiple key physiological parameters in anesthetized or seriously ill patients. This allows doctors to make rapid, critical, and life-saving adjustments to a patient’s care.
We own and operate an Idexx computerized digital radiography unit to produce digital x-ray images. Digital images can be easily manipulated and optimized for analysis as well as emailed or copied to disc for transfer to another facility.
We use a GE LOGIQ e Vet Ultrasound unit for performing diagnostic ultrasounds of the abdomen and echocardiograms of the heart. When indicated, we consult with radiology specialists to obtain interpretations in difficult cases.
