As another school year ends and summer begins, we reflect on how fast time goes by. The past year has brought about many changes in the Glaeser family. Last fall our eldest daughter, Katie, was married on
Jekyll Island, GA where we spend many summer vacations. Although there were a few minor issues in the planning and execution of the nuptials, the ceremony was a beautiful and meaningful experience. The weather was perfect and the rain held off until the following day. Our son, Mike, and his wife, Emily, continue to enjoy watching our first granddaughter grow on a daily basis. She is now talking and walking and has just finished Mommy & Me swimming lessons. Sherry and Katie enjoy watching her for a few days a week and spoil her as only a grandmother and aunt can do.
Emily and Abbey are still working hard on their coursework in high school. Emily is learning to drive, with Abbey soon to follow. Being in the passenger seat during these sessions is quite a frightful experience; although Emily’s driving skills are improving daily. Our family is looking
forward to college trips to evaluate Emily’s potential choices for higher education. Abbey has been active in yearbook at school and is looking forward to helping with VBS at church to obtain service hours this summer. Emily is also working at CCAH, so you may see her in the kennels from time to time. Sherry continues to balance family, work and school as she continues her progress toward a nursing career. She is
about to finish Anatomy & Physiology, which takes me back to anatomy lab in vet school. Endless home projects, as well as work and family commitments keep me busy at all times. We all are looking towards our vacation this summer as we will unwind at a new location. We are going to Dauphin Island, AL to stay on the beach. It will be strange to only have
four on vacation as our older children are now on their own. This time of relaxation gives us time together without the stress of day to day living.
We all hope that this summer finds our clients and patients well. We look ahead to serve your needs in the coming year.
